In the NFL: Jew Vs. Jew

From Here:

...The mass substitutions made it possible for a new Bears hero to be born: Lennie Friedman, the Jewish Chuck Bednarik.

An offensive lineman who was signed a month ago after Washington cut him, Friedman took snaps both at guard and defensive tackle Sunday. In the latter role, he got to go against Vikings offensive tackle Mike Rosenthal - a rare sporting Clash of the Hebrew Titans.

When the Bears approached him about playing both ways, "I thought it was the best idea I ever heard. I haven't had that much fun in a long time. Not since high school."

So in the end, despite the score, it was a wonderful day for the Bears.

Jones got his 1,300 yards, the Jewish Bednarik made a splash and the quarterback managed to remain in one piece...
