Israeli Government to release Palestinian wireless equipment

From Globes:

The release of Palestine Cellular Communications (Jawwal)'s equipment was coordinated with Israel’s security agencies.

The Ministry of Communications has agreed to release equipment purchased by Palestine Cellular Communications (Jawwal). Delivery of the equipment was delayed for 18 months for security reasons. The release was coordinated with Israel’s security agencies. Jawwal will now be able to improve reception and service for its subscribers.

In October 2005, Palestinian Authority Minister of Communications Sabri Saidm asked Ministry of Communications director general Avi Balashnikov to release the equipment. They later held a number of meetings on the subject.
